As a family business, established in 1869, we are very aware of our responsibility to future generations. The company is currently led by the fourth generation of the Terberg family and the intention is that they will eventually hand over to the fifth generation. Every generation is responsible for undertaking its work responsibly and meticulously, to hand over a healthy business to the next generation. Hence sustainability is a key issue. As a family business we have a long-term vision in which people and the environment are extremely important.
Key Terberg sustainability improvements:
- The development of our zero emissions, fully-electric terminal tractor.
- Installing PV solar panels on the roof of the factory in Benschop to reduce the use of fossil energy.
- Providing free fruit to our employees. We believe in "a healthy spirit in a healthy body." Everyone is responsible for their own health, but where possible, Terberg aims to support a healthy lifestyle.
- We encourage team sports such as running, cycling, walking, skating and fitness. These only benefit physical health, but also improve the team spirit
