Afbeelding bij YT1852 newest vehicle concept of Terberg Benschop Terberg Benschop has developed a new vehicle concept with 8x4 driveline. It is equipped with the new YT cab, which has been introduced mid 2004 by Terberg. The first three vehicles have been delivered to the company Stuwadoorsbedrijf Velserkom B.V. in IJmuiden in December 2004. These strong vehicles will be used to transport containers with scrap metal, raw material or adjuvants. On special request Terberg developed an 8x4 driveline in a firm chassis in which both terminal and truck technology was combined. The name of the vehicle is based on Terbergs 8x4 truck series FM1850. Combined with the new YT cab and driveline, it will be called YT1852. The 8x4 driveline exists of a Cummins 6CTAA (8.3 litre, 215Hp, stage 2) and an Allison MD3060P automatic transmission. The two rear axles are driven AxleTech axles. The first and the second axle are also from AxleTech and are non-driven steered axles. (AxleTech is the new name for Meritor, formely known as Rockwell). Leafsprings (5 leafs) on the first axle, air suspension on the second axle combined with a Dynalastic rear tandem makes this vehicle reliable and very stable. The steering system is hydraulic. A mechanical system takes care of the synchronisation of the two steered axles. The superstructure of the vehicle is a Translift chain-installation, type TL-45T with a roller height of 1,30 m. The next two YT1852 have been produced in January 2005 for Contractors and Rental Company Van Tunen B.V. in Velsen-Noord. Can the YT1852 be the solution for your transport needs? Our sales team would be delighted to inform you.
