Terberg Benschop with new engines

Terberg Benschop presents the first new Volvo engines to the Technical Kontact Days (TKD) from June 3 through June 5 in Barneveld. At Terberg all the new D13C engines are equipped with the very powerful engine brake VEB+.

All Terberg Benschop models, 6x6, 8x4, 8x8, and 10x4 10x8, are present with the new Euro 5 engines on the TKD, either with a power of 308 or 338 kW (420/460 hp). Remarkably is the standard version with the patented Volvo’s Engine Brake plus. This is a very powerful engine brake of the second generation which, by another valve timing, fills the cylinders with more air and thus strengthen the functioning of the exhaust brake. The result is a braking power which can be as high as 377 kW (513 hp). The exceptional braking system gives an important contribution to improved manageability under difficult operating conditions. Therefore VEB + increases safety and reduces maintenance costs of the wheel brakes.

Mono-Air 2
Terberg Benschop shows in Barneveld for the first time the Mono-Air 2 bogie. A new bogie with a maintenance-free air suspension system that stands out for its long-life, stable handling and high load capacity of 30 tons technically and 23 ton legally. The Mono-2 Air Vehicle system is available for trucks in different varieties. At the fair, several examples are shown, like the Terberg with Tipper, a Tipper and truck crane and a vehicle with a hydraulic hook lift container system.
