Seven 8x8 Terberg tippers for heavy work in rough terrain. Mourik Groot-Ammers brought the trucks together in farewell of Kees Molenaar.

At the work on the ring road of 's-Hertogenbosch, the Terberg FM2000 trucks have been brought together to give close colleagues of Kees the opportunity to say goodbye to him. The four axle vehicles, with all wheel drive, are rarely all working together at the same time at the same workplace.

Kees started his career on October 1 1969, at Mourik. After forty years he recently took his leave of being a driver on the Terberg FM2000 with the Mourik number 1613. “Such a company number is easier to recognise than the number on the registration plates of the vehicle. I know that from the time when I worked in the Mourik workshop. At Mourik we simply number consecutively all new trucks", according to the man who also imparted the profession of a driver to younger colleagues. “Of course there is always something that you don’t like. For example when I thoughtlessly drove under a viaduct with levied dumper. The loading platform was torn off the chassis completely. Fortunately I was all right and after a week I could drive with the truck again. Yes, that was also a Terberg. I have had three: the numbers 1254, 1464 and 1613. I have always enjoyed working for Mourik. I like to drive through rough terrain. That is a feast of course, with such a strong and safe Terberg. But I do like to work nearby. Far away, with all those traffic-jams, that’s not my kind of thing.” Kees looks back at his working life and at the farewell with pleasure. “I have received the picture with the Terberg trucks as a jigsaw puzzle. I have just finished it.”
