Innovations at Terberg Nordlift GmbH.

Terberg Benschop has significantly improved its establishment in Hamburg. The original building has undergone a metamorphosis. This was necessary to provide the customers with better service and to accommodate additional staff. The manufacturer of special vehicles operates in Germany under the name Terberg-Nordlift GmbH.

Terberg Benschop has taken over the distribution and service activities of Nordlift in 2007. Terberg-Nordlift is responsible for selling, distribution and service of Terberg products in Germany, Switzerland and Austria.

Terberg-Nordlift has a building with a useable area of 4,000 m2. The acquisition marked the start of an extensive modernization. This was necessary because of the increasing activities of the company. To illustrate: in the past two years, the staff almost doubled to 21 people. The renewal was also used to thoroughly take up the workshop. The capacity was tripled. The staff in the workshop was expanded to six persons, who all have their own working place. Since the innovations and improvements in the equipment they are able to deal with huge repairs and heavy damage repair. In total Terberg-Nordlift has invested € 750.000 in the modernizations.

Thoroughly grasped
The existing building in the Hamburg port area was almost totally renewed. It has got new doors, windows, window frames and new office furniture. The workshop got new tools and a new liquid-tight floor. Less visible but not less important is the arrival of an IT system that seamlessly connects to the needs of the organization. Target is to serve the users of Terberg products as quickly and efficiently as possible. That may be in the field of selling new vehicles, but also in the field of service and warranty. Moreover, Terberg Nordlift has a large fleet of rental equipment and it offers used vehicles. Responsible manager Arno Ortlieb says on the innovations: "We all have worked hard in the past two years. I am proud of the result. Thanks to the renovation of the building and our investments in equipment and staff, we can serve the customer much better, faster and more efficient today. Furthermore, we are open 24 hours per day. The growth of Terberg-Nordlift shows that our customers appreciate that."
