The long relationship between Wim Bosman and Terberg Benschop was recently reaffirmed. The specialist in warehousing, shipping and logistics, has taken a new Terberg BC 182 in operation. The driver of the Body Carrier can handle swap bodies, trailers and semi-trailers with minimum effort. This versatility makes the vehicle unique.

Products of Terberg Benschop are running on the extensive premises of Wim Bosman 's-Heerenberg for a long time already. They move semi-trailers and trailers, as part of the huge logistical operation that takes place day and night. They work on and around the premises with a combined area of 255,000 m2 and 121,000 m2 of built-up area with six large warehouses. Wim Bosman is a 3PL+ European Logistics service provider with a strong European network for customer specific integrated warehousing, transportation and distribution solutions.

Together with the recent acquisition five Terberg products are now rolling in 's-Heerenberg. The Body Carrier is an extension of the fleet of vehicles of Terberg, used for movements in the vast industrial area near the German border. Wim Bosman: "We needed a multipurpose vehicle. This Terberg Body Carrier perfectly met our needs. Now that we have used the vehicle for some time, we can confirm that we are satisfied about the capabilities. We did a lot of research before the purchase and I am glad that effort has proved useful. Our drivers can work safe and fast with the new Terberg."

Long days
"We cannot afford unexpected delay in this time-critical business," says Oktay Yalçin. He has been closely involved with the purchase, as project manager. He continues: "Here in 's-Heerenberg we work day and night. Our operation starts at 6.00 on Monday morning and continues until Saturday afternoon. During that time, and, if necessary even longer, we work without interruption. To ensure that the new vehicle would fulfill all our desires, we first gathered information from several suppliers to be informed about the possibilities. Then we considered the pros and cons that count most for us. It was not obvious that we should decide for a Terberg again. We have chosen the Benschop product based on performance and price. Of course, the long relationship and good understanding plays an important role in the decision. We know that Terberg builds a solid product and grants good service. This indicates that it is a reliable private company. That appeals to us with Wim Bosman."

Versatile Body Carrier
The Terberg BC 182 is capable of handling swap bodies with a length of 7.15, 7.45  and 7.82 meters. For the smallest possible turning radius, the very accessible and comfortable cab is placed entirely in front of the front axle. The hydraulic system to handle swap bodies has a lifting capacity of 25 tons. The capacity to lift for the fifth wheel for the trailer is 15 tons. Handling the heavy semi-trailers and trailers is no effort for the Terberg BC 182. The Body Carrier has a powerful Mercedes-Benz four-cylinder engine with an output of 132 kW (180 hp). The excellent performance of that engine is further enhanced by a ZF power shift gearbox with three gears forwards and backwards. It is an automatic gearbox with torque converter, able to change gears under full load. Together they guarantee much ease and a high work rate.
